Simplify to Elevate

elevate-your-life-sermons.jpg

In all areas of my life I’m looking to simplify in order to elevate it.  From my everyday dress to my business activities.

Steve Jobs famously wore the same thing everyday.  As does Mark Zuckerberg and many others.  This one decision of making a dress code allows them to save the energy expenditure of thinking, “What will I wear?” for more important things.  Helping to avoid decision fatigue.

The elevation from simplifying comes from removing all those things that drain your energy.  Giving you the ability to focus more on those things which will propel you forward.

The difficult (and fun) part is constantly looking for ways to optimize and create friction free systems.  Making things seem almost effortless.

Stress = Fear

Admit it you are scared.

You’re worried and afraid what people will say, losing credibility, tarnishing your image, emabarassing yourself, failing, not knowing what to do, or any number of things.

And fear has your heart pumping, filled with anxiety.

You’re nervous.

Yet don’t call it fear. Naming it stress.

What you have not realizing is they are both the same. Fear = stress. Stress is just a fancy word for fear.

When you recognize what your stressing about, then, you can make progress against it.

Do yourself a favor and call it what it is. Now begin building the courage to face your fear and conquer your stress.

KISS

How can you multiply by subtraction?

Or better said…

What can you simplify to accelerate your growth?

Making and keeping things complex is easy.

The real genius is in simplicity.

PS: Let KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) be a driving principle

Making a Wish

What happens when you get what you wish for?

Will you be estatic, over the moon, or delighted?

What’s happens if you’re not ready for when it comes true?

And all your wishes will come. Because whether you realize it or not you’re always working toward them.

Make sure to be ready for when they come. Some might by years or months away. But still they come.

You’ll never be 100% prepared but at least be ready. Eyes wide open. Adaptable.

And please don’t complain – remember it is what you wished for.

Always, always be 1% better than than yesterday. That little 1% will mean a world of difference. Compounding upon itself over the year.

Helping you keep your wish rather then being burned by it.

What excites you?

Really lights a fire under you. Making you want to Go! Go! Go!

The kind of excitement that inspires and ignites your creativity and action muscles.

Excitement so real and big no plan is impossible.

With everything being attainable.

I beg of you to find what excites you and grasp on to it.

Don’t let go.

Don’t settle.

Fuel it and soar!

Anchor

My heart is an anchor

Holding me down to the bottom of the sea

Latched on to the most amazing reef

I pull and tug

Desperately trying to break free

Emotions and worry

Make up my chain

Connecting my heart to this anchor in the most unforgiving way

I drift letting the current take me

As far as the eye can see

But I’m still tethered to this anchor at the bottom of the sea

In my grasp I hold all the keys that will release me

Setting me free

But I can’t seem to find the right one

Is this my limiting belief?

For the power I hold is within me

To set my heart at peace

and

Put my worry at ease

Need to focus on the keys

One by one

In order to set myself free

Mixed Up Priority

Don’t wait for a near death experience to wake you up to your most important priority.

And it’s only one. Singular priority. Not priorities. The plural being an invention by modern man cramming more in than he should.

Why you may think your priority is this or that. Then ask yourself, now, are you really focusing on the right one.

On Delegation

Lots of us have no problem delegating lower level tasks, delegating down.

But the real ninja skill is delegating higher level tasks, delegating up.

You probably already have an attorney or accountant who do some specialize work for you.

Take the same approach and think who would be the key hires that will help you create more, faster?
