On the way up

I want to do so much for youYou have no idea

Flowing like the Niagara falls

I’m Houdini

Making miracles happen

Unlocking the handcuffs

Removing the constraints

Underwater

I breathe

Deeply

Understanding

That you with them

Make me

We are one

Breath

Inhaled on top on Mt. Everest or Kilimanjaro

We’ll take the next steps, together

Rising from the bottom to the top

Pulling one another up

Taking a breath

Seeing all that’s before us

Some we’ve had to leave behind

Our mind made up

That’s where we’re going

Rising now

Always on the way up

Bingeing

A night out shouldn’t be an excuse to binge on everything unhealthy you come across.  All the work and effort you’ve put into living a healthier life must not be thrown out in one night.

You know the pitfalls and triggers – what strategies and techniques can you use to have safe passage through the night?

Keep in mind the Indian Proverb, “A healthy man has 1000 wishes, but a sick man has only one.”

Driving Around in Circles

When you find yourself driving around in circles stop and ask for directions.  Of course there’s the risk of someone giving you the wrong way to go on purpose or of looking out of place.

But so what.

You’ll more likely get to where your going a whole lot faster (and without any of the grief from your back seat drivers).

But remember there is value to getting lost every once in a while.  Discovering something new and totally different along the way.

Don’t Yuk My Yum

Just because you may not like your yogurt with M&M toppings doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t enjoy it.  They may even take greater delight savoring every bite then you with your low fat, name brand, grass-fed, nonGMO, unflavored variety.

Becoming offended over the products on the shelf is really not the best use of your time. Realize the items are in happy sitting beside each other, patiently waiting to get picked up, taken home, and enjoyed.

Your hissy-fit has no bearing on the enjoyment derived by another.

Rejuvenate

Don’t forget to rest in order to get where you want to go.

You need to take some time off.  Not someday but on a regular basis.  Where you are not reading, thinking, or checking email related to the work you do.  Make it REAL time away from work and what you do.

One of your goals should be able to take as much time away as you need to rejuvenate.  You’ll find your energy and mental clarity goes through the roof.

Going to Fast

Slow down and appreciate whats going on around you.  Measure the progress and celebrate it.  Because before you know it – it’s come and gone.

People are right – kids grow up too fast – but maybe its us who never slow down to savor the precious moments we have with them.
