Sometimes you won’t know what to do, who to see, or when to start.

When you have a day like this its probably because you’re stuck in your head.

Over and over second guessing yourself in an endless loop that prevents you from taking action.

Stop it. Say and/or go do something.

PS: Go take a walk, do some push ups, get moving, run – do whatever to get moving and break a light sweat you’ll notice your mind-state shift to a better place.

There is nothing more important than your health.

Everything you are and do relies on it.  Without it you won’t live up to your potential.

The old maxim rings true, “A man with his health has 1,000 wishes, but a sick man only has one.”

Stand on my shoulders

Teacher higher than I ever could

See further

Go farther than you think you can go

Stretch yourself 

And let your mind bend at the possibilities

But don’t stop there

Initiate and take action

Lead your tribe 

Don’t hide in your insecurities 

Because they matter not

But you do

More than expected 

As always

Show what your made of

And never, ever

Ever

Doubt what you can do

I’m learning to open up space in order to create. 

Because I’ve noticed if my days jampacked there is no room for developing something new or challenging the status quo.

And every day we should be doing both.

If allowed work will consume your entire day, week, month, year – life. 

Open up space to create and live.

Irregardless of what others are doing. Keep doing you what you do. Don’t stop. Let them watch your progress. You know what your working towards. Keep going.

Don’t quit to early but know when to quit.

After you’ve exhausted all the options take inventory of all you’ve learned and make a choice.

Choose whether to keep going or start something new.

Just don’t keep doing the same thing over and over again.

Before you take on something else ask yourself,

“Is the juice worth the squeeze?”

This quote from Joe Polish will help you assess whether or not you should move on a project.

 

You just rocked the room and shaked up the building.

Everyone loved your message and how you delivered it.

Except one.

Heckling from the sidelines and mumbling something as you walked by about how your presentation wasn’t this or that.

Notice how the heckler is standing on the sidelines.  Stuck in one place due to his on trolling tendencies and inability to step into the arena.

While you are up front leading a tribe.

There is more elegant and simple things.  What gets lost is the amount of effort it takes to distill dad what is complex into something simple. 

Always strive for the simplest solution. The status quo some thrives on the complex.
