Turbulence

Too often we buckle our seatbelts to dreams
When there is little turbulence in our lives
Safe guarding against the possibility and change
Or of our drink spilling over onto our shoes
Because of a little turbulence
Knowing it will pass in just a few moments
Grasping for oxygen masks
Dangled just beyond our seat our reach
Then just as it came it is gone
We feel free to move about the cabin and continue with our lives
