Audacious
Where have you been willing to take bold actions and risks?
If you can’t come up with anything make sure to find the audacity to live.
Are you cruising?
As you drive down the road of life are you cruising or in stop and go traffic?
Are you hitting every single pot hole on the road? Cursing as the back tire hits it again.
Do you obey all the traffic signals, drive at the speed limit, and never get into the fast lane?
How fast are you going? Did you catch any of the beautiful scenery or is it all a blur?
What’s on the radio? What are you listening to?
Are you checking the rear view mirror or only focused on the windshield?
Finally let me ask who’s riding shotgun with you?
Kissed By The Flame
Though the fire was dead
The embers still burned
Reigniting the flame
It jumped and sparked
Morphing from something pleasant to dangerous
It spread
Seeking fuel to fuel its existence
It persisted
But was extinguished in its tracks
There really was no way of going back
Burning a hole 8 inches wide
It festered
Almost destroying my life, whole
As my eyes laid shut
Smoke filled the air
I gasped at the sight of the the evidence
Stumbling at what could have been
Interrupting Again
Recognizing that listening is more important than listening I need to get better at it.
I personally struggle interrupting the other party. Which often causes me to miss the most important part of the conversation.
Admitting my problem is the 1st step to recovery. Becoming a better listener is my 4th quarter goal of creating a new habit.
Meaningful Conversations
I have a question for you, “How many meaningful conversations are you having on a regular basis?”
Conversations of such high quality they leave you wanting to learn more, improve something, or seek out more information.
Think about it. Are you having any conversations that make you just a tinge uncomfortable?
I believe through deep, meaningful conversations we can learn more about others and ourselves.

OTB
As I drove into work today I passed an OTB store-front in a strip mall. It got me to ask, “How am I gambling away my talents? Resources?”
Stop betting with your time and focus.
Don’t gamble them away.
Set a plan to use your attention on those things that matter and dedicate energy to moving them forward.
Embers Still Burn
The embers of a fire still burn.
Contagious
What idea could you spread among your team today to improve their job?
It might take a few days to for “it” to spread from person to person, like a cold, but soon enough the entire building has it.
Ideas spread because of the value they provide. Make yours worthwhile for your “host” to take on.
