My heart is sad

Filled with pain

After seeing so much

What have I gained?

Hurt and hope mixed together

Both intertwined

Wrapped up

I choke up

My heart beat

Beating faster and faster

Not knowing what is or what is to come

I struggle to catch my breath

I pause to B-R-E-A-T-H-E

Filling my lungs with life

Closing my eyes my soul, breathes

Refreshed with what is and

The pain subsides

Because God is my guide

Leading the way as always

I take His hand and breathe

Knowing that in Him the truth lies
